Now my WiFi bridge is no longer working with the box since the update(although the box does tell me it's connected to the network) what dongle are working since the update? I don't want to buy homeplugs as I have enough things plugged in behind the telly. Thanks

Homeplugs are a wonderfully elegant solution and puts an end to WiFi woes. My Homeplug has pass-thru so no loss of a power socket. I take one lead from the Homeplug to a 4 port network switch behind the TV and all my other kit use Ethernet into the 4 port switch. I purchased short Ethernet leads to make this a neat solution and believe me it is.

I have the wires unobtrusively routed behind the TV and even the wife has commented on the lack of spaghetti. No more aggravation as now everything just works - at a good speed too.

Most of my kit has wireless capability but I will not go back to wireless now.

Problems accessing On Demand aren't necessarily due to problems with the network connection.

Powerline plugs are far from elegant in my view.

In what way is the solution not elegant? A wired connection is always likely to be more reliable than a wireless one.

They're ugly. And annoying. And expensive. And a bad idea.

I wasn't talking about aesthetics but there again beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I quite like my Devolo's.

When I say elegant I mean a system that works, never lets you down and achieves this with the minimum of fuss and the minimum of wiring. Nothing bad about that.

For goodness sake don't turn into another Winston.

I believe it is a reference to a poster on other forums who does not share your views on home-plugs, in fact I believe he would favour a global ban.

I don't get the reference but I'm guessing it probably has nothing to do with wifi.

What suits one does not suit another. I have no problems with wifi and prefer it. I dislike Powerline.
