I have FVP-4000T, barely a month old. Infinitely better feature wise than previous machine. However, it gets stuck in "stand by". Red light on front is lit. TV, on HDMI, shows "No signal". Sometimes no response to remote control, other times, I can get "stand by" light to flash to blue but reverts to red. TV then shows it is receiving a signal but it's a blank ( sort of even blue/grey)screen. In this state, pressing volume control on remote, makes volume level graphic appear on TV screen, but it drops out as soon as release volume control. Only way to kick start it, is to momentarily unplug PSU, reconnect it and machine reboots, thereafter unit behaves. Top of unit feels very warm. This occurs every other day. This "stuck in stand by", only occurs over night/when left unused for a few hours. Any ideas please.

    Welcome to our Forum

This has been reported a few times.

To be clear the Red led can be confusing as it is used to indicate standby and when unit is on and recording.

You could try disabling CEC on your TV see if that helps

    Please confirm software version.

There is a problem with this model which Humax are aware of,see the Topic " Failure to turn on when timer recording " for details of Humax response. No news yet of any update.

Link to thread fabia has mentioned...

Note this would apparently not effect all users as my 2 units boot up without issue to a Sony KDL 32W705 and Philips 46PFL8007T whether recording or not.

    Hi Barry,
    In answer to your questions.....
    Software Version: UKTFAE 1.00.59
    Loader Version: UKTFAE 1.03
    System ID : 9010.7D31
    Update date : 19 Sept 2015
Auto power down: Set to "OFF"
Power saving in standby: Set to "OFF"
    All tuners ( 3 off): Signal strength = >80%
    All tuners ( 3 off): Signal quality = 100%
Top of unit still gets very warm to touch.
I will continue to monitor behaviour and try to provide better list of symptoms/behaviour when it plays up.
Apart from this issue, I still think it is a Wow!product.

I just noticed this post and checked my software version and it's UKTFAE 1.00.63 and the Update date is 16 October 2015.

I don't know if this is because I have the 2TB version or that I've only had it for 10 days and it is loaded with later software.
