If it exists then freesat will test and if they think Ok, will release and on past performance, announce in due course.

Do we know if the identified problem, and it's fix will also resolve the issue of an unrecognised HDD?

A rough translation of what Repassac said would be... Nope, no idea what Humax are doing, other than they have been reported to be working on a fix for the HDD problem ( first identified last Nov) and if they do indeed solve it, it will be reported here by Barry. So keep hoping.

I, too, have "lost" my recordings on the 1000S. Although the disk usage (26%) is the same as last time the recordings showed, suggesting they are on the HDD, they are not listed, only those that are planned for the future.

Turning the power off for 15 minutes or so normally fixes this one which happens from time to time.

The major problem is when the disk itself is not recognised as being present.

Thanks. Yes, powering off and on again fixed it. A bit worrying, nevertheless.

Seems to be some sort of timing glitch that infrequently happens during the boot up procedure. One theory is that pressing exit before the home screen epg is populated might cause it. However I have an exit command at the end of my Harmony remote power on activity. This often clears the home screen before it has any programmes, so far not had the issue since buying the remote. It's happened to mine roughly 3 or 4 times a year.

Graham, Do we think that this issue is un-recoverable. Our 1000S has been reporting no HDD for some time now. Full power cycles have no effect.
