Hi all. First time I've posted but have had a H1010s for over 2yrs - no problems until a couple of hours ago:

I set a recording and the box stopped and rebooted. The recording did show as set on the planned recordings screen it ha also recorded and I was able to play it.
\I went through an hour or so of the box rebooting, programme starting then rebooting but this seems to have settled down.
Currently I JUST have the problem of reboot when I set a record event - box still closes down/reboots but the programme shows up in the planned recordings ok.
I do use the android remote recording app but I am inclined to leave everything alone and see if it gets resolved since it does appear to be an external problem rather than apps/firmware.

I will monitor this forum and also report back if I have any update/news that will help.

    Regards

No sign of any news from freesat, who I would expect news to come from rather than Humax.

My Humax started the same reboot issue a few days ago. I haven't tried unlinking it from the app, but did manage to get it stable again by installing an old firmware version (1.00.22).

I thought I would leave it running on that until the mess was cleared up!

If anyone else would like to try the same approach, the firmware is available at

    Humax Beta website

If unpairing the app stops the rebooting, that does seem to show the app is implicated, but perhaps only to the extent that when no app is paired, the box does not need to go through the sequence that is wrongly leading to the reboots.

Can someone who knows more about the subject than I, explain a bit about how satellite signal faults might affect the operation of the box? (As Humax is reported to have mentioned this as possible explanation)

    Thanks Barry.

I have re-loaded version 2.02.46 and performed a double reset - will see how that goes!

My box suddenly re-booted tonight whilst watching on-demand (BBC iPlayer). Not having suffered with this issue previously I can only conclude this contagion is spreading.

I am not going to carry out any double resets as suggested and lose all my planned recording schedules. I will simply leave the box alone and continue with just my 2000T for the time being.

Hopefully Freesat will get their head out of their a***s and get this problem fixed without further delay. The amount of issues which can be laid at Freesat's door is getting ever longer. Are their engineers on work experience?
