Indeed I am interested as I want to feed as much info as possible to Humax Towers.

It *seems* to be ok so far...

I've not been in front of it constantly though, so can't be sure.
I'll be watching/recording/pausing it more tonight, so I'll keep you posted.

    Hi all,

Just thought I'd post my results with the new software:
Showcase and OnDemand still don't work with the V2.02.34 software.
I've tried a factory reset but it makes no difference.
901 and 903 work fine if I go directly to the channels.
If a force a software rollback via USB to V1.00.22 then Showcase and OnDemand work perfectly.

Really disappointed as I was hoping this was the fix I've been waiting for.

My HDR-1000s has restarted three times since the update to 2.02.34, seems to be every half hour. Rather than doing a factory reset and having to start again I went into the storage settings and performed a disk clean up. That was over 90 minutes ago and till now there have been no reoccurrences of the restart problem.

The reset seems to have done the trick for me, It hasn't rebooted since I did it.
Showcase and On Demand is working fine, as is recording/pausing etc.
    So hopefully that's that.

I noticed the new graphics when I switched on the box and then my recording of Corrie stopped. I've also noticed that there are no symbols showing on the front of the box, just the channel details, I used to have a row of letters along the top and notification of when I was recording, that's all gone. Hasn't rebooted though.

May switch on and off at the mains tomorrow to see what happens.

Getting a tad confused, has anyone with the same problem actually tried the suggested factory reset (including your post) ?

Other than 1 post 25 above.

If not, why do you suggest your post has any relevance, a factory reset clears out any issues you may have from the update ?

If the same problems persist, then of course we will all take notice of your issues.

There is an issue with this latest update full stop.

If one person had reported the issue and a factory reset fixed it then fine, but the fact that about 5 people in this thread alone have had rebooting problems since updating means there is an issue here that needs to be fixed in a further update, whether a factory reset resolves it or not. A factory reset should not be required after an update, especially when the box updates itself. Factory resets are fine to try and resolve a seemingly random one off issue, but this isn't that as many users are having this same issue.

    Hello,

My HDR-1000S has also been spontaneously powering off since yesterday. It happened 2-3 times last night and has repeated several times tonight. It's also killed recordings in progress each time. No loss of scheduled recordings etc. I noticed the new splash screen after the first reboot and have the 'new' 2.02.34 code. No issue with on demand or showcase as far as I can tell, but as someone else commented I've lost all the usual smattering of icons along the top edge of the display and now only showing channel details.

Good to find you all discussing the issue, as it's starting to annoy me.
