Same issue here. Came home from work yesterday (16th) to find it had updated. Watched about 20-30mins of live TV and it rebooted, then shut itself down halfway through the boot. Today (17th) it just rebooted again while I was watching a recording. Luckily something had just finished recording about 15mins previously, or I would have lost that too.

A bit reluctant to reset at the moment, I will if I have to, but I'd like to see how this pans out first, as it's looking like a bug that's affecting a number of users.

I'm getting the same problem - rebooting while watching stuff, seemingly at random. Annoying.

    Cheers,
    Jay

    Welcome to all new members

Sounding like a stuck record, but trying a factory reset is the best option.

I'm having the same problem. Will a factory reset lose all my recorded programs?

Understood, but as someone else pointed out, we shouldn't really have to, I'm sure humax didn't intend this to happen or they would have either suggested a reset as part of the update, or not released it if they weren't completely satisfied it was stable?

EDIT: make that twice tonight now.

No. You will only lose recording schedules, and any settings will go back to default.

I did the factory reset last night, and I can tell you it was a pain having to re-enter all my recording schedules, it seemed that it worked but this morning it rebooted again. So Barry, will you be contacting with Humax or should I email them? Or has everyone else who did a factory reset fixed their problem?

    Thank you for your feedback.

Whilst I pass on info to Humax Towers, it is never a bad thing to contact Humax Support yourselves, if nothing else it gives an idea of how widespread problems are.
