Just a word of warning, my 4000T got the update to 052 and it crippled the box. It appeared to be so busy doing something in the background that it would only respond to the remote intermittently and also started running hotter than usual.
Reloaded 051 and after a hard power reset things seem back to normal but I’ve left disconnected from the internet to stop it reinstalled..

Might not be such a bad thing :(. Humax cannot possibly ignore a duff software update that cripples every one of it's latest g2 boxes catch up services.

Especially as there is enough evidence here to indicate it's a distinct possibility.

They can't exactly say they were not warned

My 5000T still on older version on first boot. However new is now available using the search button. Downloading and installing now.

Box went off and unresponsive to remote. Pulled the power and it went straight to installing screen. It has now reported install OK. And box is now restarting.

Iplayer, ITV-Hub All4 and My 5 all working.

Minor issue On Exit box returns to Home screen.

You have to open the players menu again.

My 5000T has been auto shutting down after 3 hrs despite auto off being disabled.

Hope the new software has fixed this.

Can a 4000T owner confirm that this box now also works OK.

Too many threads all about same issue. I did ask the moderators to combine into one to avoid confusion

Spotted your post John on the other thread after asking the question.

Seems all 4000 and 5000 boxes all working. A poster on Hummy TV so far has not been able to install the update.

Not experiencing any of the issues you posted since the update. Can you try a reset to factory defaults ? This should clear any issues left in NVram.

my 5000T software update didn't work the first time, it went through all fine it seemed but on checking after it restarted it hadn't changed.
tried it again, watched it through to 100%, it switched off and stayed off or so it seemed, eventually it came back on, or i turned it back on there was a new screen stating "i think" downloading and installing on 2 separate bars, went off again and all was fine after it restarted, after around 30 seconds.
i don't know what happened in the middle but nothing was happening, nothing on the screen for around 7 mins.
I've not tried the apps yet so cant confirm.
might be worth others double checking that its installed afterwards.
