Can't see any obvious changes to the Google TV bits this morning. What's the Android version etc that I should be looking out for to check?

I've checked the Android Version, Security Patch Level, Kernel Version and Build and those have not changed since March.
    Version: 9

Yes thats the home screen I have now.Is there any way to get rid of that Danny Devito screen or any future ad to be placed there

    Patch: 5 December 2020
    Kernel: 4.9.189-1-12pre #13 Thu Dec 24 18:50:58 KST 2020
    Build: PTT1.190528.001
The new home look like this vs the old.

There's 2 issues I'm still seeing after this update :-
    1) I sometimes drop out of recordings, even when the Aura isn't doing anything else i.e. recording.
    2) I see what can only be described as a tuner 'swap'. I'm watching a channel, then suddenly the screen goes black for about a second & the sound stops. Then the picture and sound come back with with the channel banner displayed in the top right corner of screen - of the same channel I've been watching. It's like I've changed channel to the same channel. The box isn't recording at this point.
Is this being experienced by anyone else?</blockquoteY>
Yes this is a regular occurrence for me, it happens when I turn on, the picture and sound start as normal for about two seconds then disappear and restart again then all ok. Its happens so often at start-up that I've got used to it.

Sounds like Dynamic Refresh Rate Switching, which can be disabled by fixing the HDMI resolution (say to 1080-50p) in Settings > Audio and Video.

I'll give this a go and see what difference it makes. Thanks for the suggestion.

UPDATE: Unfortunately this hasn't worked. Just watching the snooker on BBC 4 HD and the same thing has happened. Most annoying!

Still no update for me to the new Google TV interface. Is it just me? Screenshots attached if the home screen plus some of the core system app details for reference.

Nope, not just you I don’t have it either. I wonder if Google are enabling it by certain regions within the UK slowly rather than the whole UK at once? I’m based in Leeds, would be interesting to find out where the people who do have it are based.

They normally release software either by device or by "region", which normally means UK rather than regions across the UK. At least, that's been my experience with other app or core system updates when I've been keen to get them from Android.

I'm a northerner too, Cheshire (not the posh bits!).

I've got 2 aura boxes, both have no Google tv update (might be a good thing)
    I'm up in County Durham.
One box was factory refreshed last night.

My understanding is that all of the Aura boxes have the right software versions on them but to get the updated UI also requires Google to enable something at their end.

See my other post on this forum called Google TV where I managed to trick Google into thinking my box was in Canada using a VPN and I then had the new UI.

It feels to me like Google may have only enabled the switch at their end for certain locations in the UK, probably London
