    Hi jpv and Mark,
I have tried all of jpv settings and run AngryIP as well. My results are exactly as Mark has shown.
The only difference for me to jpv's set up is that I am using WiFi not Wired ethernet.

Is it possible to upload from a USB HDD onto the Aura using say X-Plore.

    Wired ethernet should be better.
Are you able to ping the aura box from your PC?

Make sure the passcode on aura is set to 0000 or change it to say '1111' and give it a try. It doesn't make any sense.

If you Google econnrefused then possible reasons given for this error are the computer's firewall and/or antivirus protection (or incorrect settings but that does not seem to be the case).

I have tried to make the ftp connection to the Aura from an Android tablet and received the same error message. "Econnrefused"

On AngryIP, change the IP range to start from 192.168.1.0 to 192.168.1.233

Mars - That was my first thought so tried with both firewall and Anti-Virus turned off, but to no avail.

JPV - I can ping it without any issues.
The other thing is that the DNLA server doesn't appear anywhere either.

This is my result from AngryIP.

My result differs from yours in two respects (using default settings):

There is a time shown for the ping response of 17ms.
There is an open port of 8080.

If I then add 2323 to the list of ports to be scanned then it is shown as open.

I hate to say it, but to me it really looks like port 2323 is closed.
However, I am very happy to be proved wrong!
Using a Windows Powershell command I get the following when looking at port 2323 and port 8080 (The Web connection port)
