Okay, this is a long shot, but give it a try as I had to do this when using FVP5000T.

On Windows, go to the "Control Panel". From the left-hand side, select "Turn Windows Features On or Off" Find "SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support"
Go into drop-down and select SMB 1.0/CIFS Client.
You will get some security warnings, for now just ignore them as you can always untick the box later on.

Save this and see if ftp works - with port 2323.

    Firstly, thanks for your efforts.
I added the settings in the Control Panel.

    Okay, reset it back.

I will have a think about this.

When you get a chance, reset the 'aura' password and then give it a try. Make sure the box is not on standby, (although it should work when on standby).

    Thanks.

    Hi JPV
I already had that in my network set up, but double checked to confirm before conducting some tests this morning.
I changed the Aura password to 1111 and did a power cycle.
As the box was booting up I tried FTPing into it, and got briefly connected and some responses before it went back into its connection failed status.
I then reset the password back to 0000 and tried to connect as it was powering up, but didn't get anywhere this time.
    Back to failure again.
(I am Pretty cross with myself that I didn't think to save the responses to a log file before closing Filezilla!).
One thing about these discussions is that it is somewhat of relief to see that I am not the only one who is suffering this failure.

    Hi All,

I'm now fully wired, in more ways than one.
Aura to Router and Router to PC.
My wife is very amused by the wires trailing round the house.
I've reset Aura password to 1111.

The result from AngryIP Scan. As you can see Port 2323 is not responding.
The result from Filezilla. Exactly the same error ECONNREFUSED.

If the Aura is setup for ftp and the computer is not blocking the port then that only leaves the router, which should not be blocking anything on the internal network. Do you have a spare router to hand? Or you could check the settings of your current router.

I am not an expert on Angry IP but my reading of the documentation is that 2323 is being listed as filtered port which means "Filtered ports are those filtered by firewalls or routers, so there must be some reason why specifically these ports are being hidden." Perhaps you need to investigate your firewalls?

I don't understand why you are scanning from 192.168.1.230 to 235, only 5 ports.

I attach a copy of mine, it shows mine at .24 port 8080.

When you click on "This PC" under your file manager, does it not show the Aura box?
Mine does and I can select individual files or a whole batch and 'send' them to a USB disk attached to my PC.

    Some screen shots are attached.

My mistake Manwe. You are seeing Aura when using Angry IP. (192.168.1.232)
