Just Set Traces BBC1-HD 21:00 today as a series. The aura correctly schedules this for today and tomorrow and 7 days time. Epg is flagged for all 3 episodes with the epg reach to Monday next week.

Could you test by deliberately deleting a couple of channels from each mux and leaving the box overnight?There is currently No option to delete channels on the aura.
It gets more appealing every day
There is an edit channels option but it has no delete. You can though skip channels which I guess means they will not appear in the epg. The other option is lock. Not played with either option.

Another observation, whilst looking at the manual: where’s the option to update firmware via USB, or to control when the box does firmware updates? I like to control when new firmware is installed, waiting a bit before updating. From what I can make out the box handles updates without any option for the end user to exercise control. Or am I missing something obvious here?

Another observation, whilst looking at the manual: where’s the option to update firmware via USB, or to control when the box does firmware updates?If it is like other recent Humax boxes then there will be no option to control updates if the box is connected to the Internet other than disconnecting it from the Internet which would instantly remove a significant chunk of functionality.

Is the FreeviewPlay functionality running inside the Android TV software structure (effectively as an app), or is Android TV running ontop of the boxes foundational operating system?
If it is all Android based, there are numerous apps available that can be installed that, when run, will reveal a lot of the system settings pages that are currently hidden by Humax because they don't want users tinkering.
Normal Android has options to turn on/off automatic software/firmware updates, perhaps this can be achieved by installing one of the apps to open up the settings menus?| Mon 4 Jan 2021 19:39:51 #592 | -

Bargain Hunt set on Foxsat-HDR failed to record yesterday - reason unknown.
Must be something wrong with the crids
I have deleted it and set a new series from tomorrow. Checking schedule events only scheduled for Tues 5th and Thursday 7th Jan
Checking same reservation on HDR-1000S
Looks to be working OK on 1000S
Not working properly on FVP-5000T. Recorded yesterday next scheduled recording is Thursday.
