Still no backwards epg
Just spotted error with primary DNS.
Graham: I seem to remember that when I set up my router to OpenDNS, though the DNS figures got through to the box fairly quickly, the backward EPG did not populate immediately, so maybe if you leave to settle for a while it will appear in an hour or so.
Edit: I note you have the primary set to 8.0.8.8 instead of 8.8.8.8 (Ah! you noticed too!)

Thanks I now have corrected primary to 8.8.8.8. Still no prog info so will leave it for an hour or so.
I finally found the thread from Nov 19 where I set up the DNS and my memory is a bit faded, but it seems it was several days before the backward EPG settled down, since when it has been rock solid.
The thread in question is:

The thread is a bit confusing as several other issues came into it along the way.

Struggling to change the DNS settings on the FVP-5000T.
Using manual I cant enter either
Google 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 I cant enter a single digit without adding leading zeros
or
Open DNS 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.
I can't try turning off the router for at least 12hrs. Grandsons girl friend is working from home.
Any other suggestions gratefully received.
I find just switching the router off for a minute is fine.
In my case, I needed to have two separate DNS settings for the bedroom and the sitting room ('cos wife wants to use French catch-up TV) as you can't change the DNS in my HB-1100S. My solution was to leave the ISP's DNS in the modem-router, run an ethernet cable from it to a second router (not necessarily also a modem. I used a D-Link 826 that I had been given a year or two ago and not used). I then set up the new DNS in the D-Link.
This could be a good idea for you if you happen to have a spare router, or can pick one up at a car boot sale or on Ebay, or you may be able to use an old router from a previous serivce. i.e. leave your ISP's modem-router running and you can do what you like on the settings of the second router.
Our FVP-5000T is now working well with iPlayer again and backward epg tests out fine but grey boxes with YouTube. iPlayer app shows recent update but FVP-5000T software unchanged.

Sat Morning - 0925am still no iPlayer service on HDR2000T box. Anyone else have the same?
Portal states "Service Under Maintenance"
Our HDR 2000t has the same problem. I have emailed Humax Support but don't hold out much hope of a response.
Clearing the cookies restored the backwards epg. I will leave it with the Google DNS settings to see how it goes.
The BBC recently updated their iplayer and it caused a compatibility problem with all Humax devices. The app would load, but playback would fail. Source:

Our FVP-5000T 2TB was affected, but not our older LG 'smart' TV.
Humax say they have put a temporary patch in place and are working on a permanent fix. Source:

I haven't tried it, yet.
Iplayer was working this morning. Now I keep getting "incorrect link".
