as stated, have tried I player every day for the past 2 weeks, just gives error code 02110, "something went wrong" YouTube still not working either.

    Which box ?

Youtube is not working on any Humax box.

It's working on my HDR-1000S (freesat) and FVP-5000T (Freeview). These are the newest current series G2 for Satellite and FVP for terrestrial. If you have either then it should be working.

Clearing the cookies restored the backwards epg. I will leave it with the Google DNS settings to see how it goes.

Question. How do you clear the cookies on a Humax box? And can you clear the cache, assuming there is one?
In the past when I tried to use Google's DNS, my BT Home Hub blocked access to it. I haven't tried recently. I might give it a go on on my 'sacrificial' laptop.

I can't speak of any other box, but on the 5000T, you clear cookies by:
Going into the main Freeview Play page (using the "F" button).
    Then select the Players tab.
At the top right is an "i" icon, select that.
You then should be on the page headed "INFO" for clearing cookies.
Press "+" (not OK) then follow the prompts to finish.
Re the DNS, don't forget that you cannot change it on the 5000T's menu when you are connected by WiFi.

Many thanks. It's not the first place I'd have thought of looking! Another thing I've just learned from the Players tab is that the YouTube app is a Humax app [ ], not a proprietary one like iPlayer, ITV Hub etc.

Well is iplayer working or not

the 1100s is essentially identical to my HDR-1000s and iplayer is working on that.

    For HDR2000 users:

    The message has changed.

It now connects to iPlayer and a "We'll be back soon" message appears. It also says, "We are aware of an issue affecting the playback of content on your device. We are working with Humax to restore service as soon as possible."

Clicking on the "OK I've got it button" takes you to the normal front page on iPlayer. Attempting to playback anything results in "Something went wrong . . . "

    Some progress I suppose.

    Regards

I really don't understand why Humax have put us through this problem. This fetish for constantly "updating" programmes that work pretty well is totally senseless. Iplayer was working perfectly well, but the nerds at Humax or at BBC wanted to make some barely perceptible "improvement". And then it all goes haywire and they have to roll back as well as making dents into their reputations.

No mention of Youtube recently. Maybe that should be a separate thread, even though the two would seem to be related, as the problems arose about the same time.

HDR-1000S YouTube still not working as of now.

A new problem seems to be occurring as of today (as far as I know):

When pressing pause on a live broadcast, it no longer pauses, I just get the message:

"The function does not work while retrieving data for time shift buffer.
Try again in a few minutes."

I also needed to re-login to iPlayer, as this seems to be a new BBC tactic.

    Just to watch tv, FFS.

If the FVP5000T is anything to go by, that should have returned to normal, at most, 1 minute after changing channels. If not, maybe the box has developed a fault or needs a power off/on reset.
